The site consists of a Main Mess Hall with a fully equipped catering kitchen at one end and staffroom at the other, 7 bunkhouses and two shower/toilet facilities.
In each of the 7 bunkhouses are either 4 or 6 bunks. (a total of 36).
The Mess Hall has recently been completely refurbished, insulated, and had new double glazed windows and a hard wearing floor fitted. It acts as a meeting/dining/class room, and also has a staff room at one end for a bit of peace and quiet!
All hot water is now supplied via our new state of the art solar heating panels on the Mess Hall and toilet block roofs and we even sell our surplus electricity back to the National Grid.
There is also a telephone landline for when mobiles don’t work – 01694 718418.

In 1979 a former Army Hut was bought to serve as a Mess Hall - cum - meeting dining and/or class room. (has a staff room too!) It’s rather like the Tardis!. The Mess Hall is being refurbished on a phased basis – the work is being done during our winter closed period.

There are two camping areas and as many as 50 two person tents have been erected when being used – as it is very regularly – as a D.o.E base for Bronze and Silver awards.

The main toilet and shower block was refurbished in 2009 – all showers are in cubicles.
A Wheelchair accessible bunkhouse and shower/toilet facilities will be ready for the 2012 season.
