The Longmynd Adventure Camp is managed and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our primary aim is to provide free or subsidised respite breaks for disadvantaged children, especially those that have never experienced the countryside before. We are one Shropshire’s oldest charities benefiting children.
We achieve this without any regular Government of Local Authority funding, by letting the Camp to recognised child welfare, educational, social and vocational groups. Some of this income is applied to accommodating disadvantaged children from Shropshire and other parts of the West Midlands.
